Social Media Tells All To Your Spouse During Divorce

By Robin Roshkind, Esquire, West Palm Beach, Florida

If you are involved in divorce proceedings, or even thinking about a divorce, be careful of social media.  Match.com, Love@aol.com, Ashley Maddison, Twitter, Facebook, Linkdin, and other social networks can tell the world a lot about your contacts, lovers, dating habits.  This includes your spouse and his/her divorce attorney.

Boasting about a new boat, photos of a new sports car or hot new girlfriend can and will be used against you in divorce court.  Privacy issues to do not apply when you post something on Facebook.

In fact, if you think your private communications via computer are off limits and secret, think again.  We divorce lawyers can use spyware on cell phones, computers and private investigators can perform surveillance on you.  If you have secrets, they will be discovered in divorce proceedings.

So be careful what you say and do, online, in private, everywhere.  If  you are thinking about getting a divorce in Palm Beach County, Florida, call one of the divorce lawyers at ROBIN ROSHKIND, P.A. at 561-835-9091 or click on the Firm’s web site at www.familylawwpb.com for more information.
